 Lower quality hay was $10-15/ ton lower but the better hay was fully steady. Top on round bales was a load of western 2nd crop alfalfa 171 rfv that sold for a record price for rounds at $210/ ton . Top on big squares was $202.50 on a load of mixed hay.Straw market was firm. Locally the farmers need a break from the rain so the planters can get rolling. New crop hay harvest will be delayed because of the late spring has the hay is way behind last year.
